What is YEP?

Is an experimental program supporting entrepreneurship of young people. It lasts 24 months and is jointly promoted in the cities of Milan, Madrid and Lisbon by public and private stakeholders, together with several NGOs.

The target group is composed of those youngsters who are neither studying nor working – the so-called NEETs, highly at risk of social and economic exclusion, engaging also second generation and migrants.

The initiative offers 80 aspiring young entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend specific trainings on how to start a business. Nonetheless, the program creates a supportive environment where young people can express and realize their aspirations, being supported also through the expertise of social tutors’ mentorship.

The Program is divided into 3 steps:

  1. Training courses
  2. Incubation
  3. Accompanying and access to credit.

Thanks to this project ICEI and its partners also promote the exchange and dissemination of best practices at local and European level in the field of labor and social inclusion of young people, self-entrepreneurship and social innovation.
